(St. Joseph, MO) – Three hours after Missouri polls closed, State Auditor candidate Susan Montee (D-St. Joseph) accepted the Democratic nomination and thanked supporters.

“This election is about protecting taxpayers from bad financial decisions,” Montee said. “Just this year, the legislature let millions of Medicaid matching funds go to other states, when that money could have helped here at home. We will win in November because Missourians need an independent, experienced State Auditor who is not part of the problem in Jefferson City.”

Montee stressed that her position as a CPA, attorney, and elected county auditor makes her the only qualified candidate.
